About Us

Founded by Richard Washington in 1994, Bringing Everybody Together (BET) is an organization designed to make our community a better place by providing life skills training to those that live within to take pride in themselves and their community. The activities of BET were implemented to bring about a better relationship between the following: youth and their teachers, parents, schools and most of all themselves. BET focuses on developing the value of love, respect and positive esteem. Because of BET's involvement with the community, it is a very necessary and unique program that will show the community that in spite of the stereotype that has been placed on inner-city youth, there is hope for a better tomorrow. In addition to life skills training, we believe that it is also important to participate in community service projects. These community service projects include neighborhood beautification, clean-ups, community support and assistance in collaboration with other community based organizations.

BET is primarily a group of dedicated young people who live primarily in Philadelphia but serve youth and families from other areas including Charleston, SC. With the help of community volunteers and other support we Bet that we can make a difference.
